ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: August 1, 2008 new squirrel form prices will become effective. We are currently working on our new catalog for 2008-2009, which will be out in the fall. It will include several new squirrel mannikins sculptured by John David, along with a complete listing of products available from John David Ellzey's Squirrel Forms.

The trees are budding here in the South and it will be turkey season in a few weeks. It has been a long cold winter and it will be nice to get oudoors and walk in the woods again.

We have been very busy at Ellzey's Squirrel Forms getting new mannikins sculptured and ready for the next squirrel season this fall.

John David will be on the road in the next few months teaching at various shows around the country. Beginning with the Louisiana Taxidermy Association Convention on May 4-6 in Alexandria, Louisiana and then to the Surry Community College in North Carolina May 17-19. Come join him at these shows and experience mounting a squirrel with the master himself.

Squirrel season is now open in most areas. Cooler mornings and more on the way make for a great day of hunting.

We wish everyone much success and bountiful hunting this season whether it is squirrels, deer, ducks, or bigger game.

Here at Ellzey’s we are anxiously awaiting your call to fill all your squirrel mounting needs, and if its instructional info you need we have videos, dvd’s, an instructional book, and with just a phone call, John David can answer any questions you may have as you prepare your mount. Also, we have added several new mannikins to our line of forms.

It is beginning to be that time of year again, when taxidermists are busy getting their freezers empty for the upcoming hunting season. We all anticipate that first day of fall and nip in the air that tells us hunting season is on its way.

Congratulations!! on your upcoming graduation, to our daughter-in-law, Diana Ellzey, Registered Nurse. We are so proud of you! We love you very much, Mom and Dad LZ.

In other news, John David will be teaching a squirrel mounting seminar at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19,2006, in Dobson, North Carolina, at the first appearance of The Annual Taxidermy Mini-Course, being held on the campus of Surry Community College on May 18-20th, 2006. Hope to see you there.

Now that hunting season has come to a close in most areas, we hope everyone had a bountiful and safe season. Happy New Year!! Everyone here at Ellzey’s would like to thank each and every one of you for your care and concern for us after the hurricanes. It has been a difficult time for everyone here in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, but with all of the prayers and words of encouragement, we are going to be even stronger for it.
